Treatment Options
De-stress, de-compress, heal, whatever you need we have options
BodyTuning
A style of bodywork, that deals in aligning the body or tuning it, almost as if it was a instrument. Intuition is a key piece in this style of work. Feeling the various structures in the body, and adjusting styles and pressure, along with depth.
Medical Massage
Medical massage is outcome-based massage, primarily the application of a specific treatment targeted to the specific problem(s) the patient presents with a diagnosis and are administered after a thorough assessment/evaluation by the medical massage therapist with specific outcomes being the basis for treatment. It isn't meant to be relaxing, we are treating a specific issue, to undo or reorganize a system to be more optimal.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia. Typically you can combine this with trigger point therapy for a nice ebb and flow, of movement and pause with a deep pressure.
Swedish Massage
This style of massage has long rhythmic strokes designed to relax the client, they are delivered with light to deep pressure, and in a sequence which promotes stress reduction, relaxation, and pain reduction.
Myofascial Release
A manual massage technique that releases adhered fascial connections within muscle, ligaments, tendons and other various tissues in the body. With a goal of balancing the body, and creating equilibrium, pain reduction, and increased range of motion.
Oncology Massage
The modification of existing massage therapy techniques in order to safely work with complications of cancer and cancer treatment. Similar to lymphatic drainage, and a mix of gentle indirect myofascial release.
Pregnancy Massage
Prenatal massage can relieve back pain and improve sleep and mood, as well as decrease stress and reduce labor complications. The expecting mother will be in side lying position through the entire session.
Reflexology
An alternative medicine involving application of pressure to the feet and hands with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques. Think of the hands and feet as maps of the human body, affecting various organs, muscles, and systems of the body.
Sports Massage
Sports massage works deep in the muscles, realigning the muscle fibres and connective tissue, and flushing away the toxins also combined with stretching. Regular sessions will increase joint mobility and flexibility, and reduce the risk of injury during exercise. Tailored to the individual's sport.
Accupressure
Acupressure is a massage therapy technique based on the theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that uses finger pressure to mobilize chi — or life force energy — at specific spots on the body called acupressure points, which are also known as acupuncture points or acupoints. I incorporate a few different systems of accupressure together, to deliver the best session possible.
Lymphatic Drainage
Lymphatic drainage is a therapeutic massage treatment. The massage uses very light pressure and long, gentle, rhythmic strokes to increase the flow of lymph and reduce toxins in your body. The lymph system is part of your body's immune system and helps fight infection.
Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger Point Therapy is a healing technique based on the principle of free and uninterrupted energy flow and helps activate the natural healing processes in each patient's body as well as to restore their physical and emotional well-being. It helps patients reduce their stress and anxiety, among other ailments.
